On Sunday, 25 January 2004 during the Portuguese soccer league match Vitoria de Guimaraes vs Benfica Feher fell to the turf at the Guimaraes stadium during injury time. Emergency medical personnel tried to revive him and he was taken by ambulance to hospital where he died.
