1- Get a grip-

The tighter you hold the club, the more the ball will tend to go right. The looser you grip it, the much more likely it’s to go left. In general, you may need a balanced grip that is not too tight or too loose.

2- How to hold the club-

Support the club correctly with the handle in your palms and your thumbs facing down. Both hands should both be touching one another. The club should rest in your hands with the butt in your palm.

Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard Injured in Loss to Cardinals Google

October 8th, 2011

The Phillies perfectly could be in the market for a shortstop, closer, left fielder, a starter, a third baseman, and, depending upon the severity of Ryan Howard’s ankle injury, a first baseman, too.

If losing Game 5 from the NLDS 1-0 to the St. Louis Cardinals wasn’t terrible enough, Phillies followers had to witness Howard grab his left ankle and go to the turf, while the winning Cardinals celebrated on the field. The 31-year-old St. Louis native fell to the ground right after leaving the batters box, stumbled, then fell again. He’d to be helped off of the field.

Ryan Howard

From the Philadelphia Daily News:

“I was trying to run, and I just felt this pop,” Howard said. “The whole thing just went numb, like it was on fire. Just tried to keep going, and went down. It literally felt like I was on a flat tire. I tried to get up. Couldn’t go.”

He was scheduled to have an MRI on Saturday. If Howard did indeed tear his Achilles, it might mean lots of rehab during the offseason.

During the second half of the season, Howard has fought through bursitis near the tendon, and had a cortisone shot prior to the playoffs.

Armed with one of the best starting rotations in baseball, the Phillies were expected by many to reach the World Series. But the addition of Cliff Lee wasn’t enough to push the favorites to the championship series. Instead, the Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers will matchup in the NLCS, with the winner advancing to where Philly was expected to be-the World Series.

Case and Jaxon wanted to be next.

“We knew we wanted to play college football,” Jaxon said. “But we really didn’t know we would play together until both of us got scholarship offers.”

Of course, they are together, and are two of the vital pieces in Texas’ 4-0 start. Case and Jaxon are the latest chapter, following a script they both know so well. Here they are, trying to duplicate a feat their brothers pulled off — defeating a top-ranked Oklahoma team.

Lost Letterman features Case McCoy and his lifelong battle with scleroderma, a disease that causes thickening of the skin and blood vessels.

Due to Case’s medical condition, Colt McCoy – the winningest Division I quarterback in college football history – has been extremely involved in charity work, especially with hospitals. Last year, Colt became the spokesman for Scott & White Hospital in Texas, which is aiming to raise $50 million for a new regional hospital.

According to reports, the hospital would be centrally located in the large state of Texas, where children in smaller towns have to travel a long way for treatment. You know, kids much like Case.

“Growing up my brother (Case) was sick,” Colt McCoy told KXAN-TV last year. “He had a skin condition. Our family had to travel a lot to get to the hospital and get the support we needed.”
