Our F5 love Cesc Fabregas is on twitter. He’s followed the likes of other Spanish ‘ballers like Xabi Alonso (who tweets about Dexter), Sergio Ramos (who tweets photos like this) and Alvaro Arbeloa (who confirmed Cesc officially today) on the twitterverse.

FYI, if Cesc ever mentions his love of donuts on twitter, we’ll be shutting down as all our hopes and dreams will have been met and gratified.

Theo Walcott and Andrey Arshavin struck as Arsenal ran out winners at Ewood Park.

Walcott, recalled by England coach Fabio Capello this week for the forthcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers, fired a stunning 19th-minute opener as the Gunners worked hard to take all three points.

Walcott was sent scampering clear down the right flank by a fine ball from Robin van Persie before cutting inside and ramming a low shot past Paul Robinson.

Rovers made life hard for Arsene Wenger’s men and Mame Diouf’s 26th-minute equaliser was the least they deserved before Arshavin won it for the visitors in the 51st minute.

Rovers started positively, with Morten Gamst Pedersen’s long throw causing Manuel Almunia to enter the action early to pluck the ball off the head of Christopher Samba.

England forward Theo Walcott netted a hat-trick as Barclays Premier League new boys Blackpool were brought back down to earth with a 6-0 thrashing at Arsenal.

The 21-year-old was a controversial omission from Fabio Capello’s ill-fated World Cup squad, only to be welcomed back into the England fold following the dismal display in South Africa.

Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal 14/08/2010

Reina gaffe ruins Roy’s day

Jose Reina’s comical gaffe gifted Arsenal a 1-1 draw at Liverpool after the hosts had battled manfully to recover from Joe Cole’s first-half sending-off.

Liverpool’s new signing Cole was shown the red card just before half-time for a lunge on Laurent Koscielny, but David Ngog’s thumping drive appeared set to give Roy Hodgson three points in his first Premier League game in charge.
