Younes had left White Hart Lane for Fratton Park 18 months earlier having originally arrived from French club Auxerre in July, 2007.

He made his second debut for the Club in a Premier League defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers in February, 2010.

Younes played his part in one of the most important goals of our recent history – his break down the right and cross led to Peter Crouch heading home the winner at City on May 5 that guaranteed fourth place in the Premier League and a place in the Champions League.

During his previous spell in N17, Younes made 29 appearances, scoring four goals, including a memorable late equaliser in a 4-4 Premier League draw with Aston Villa which marked the Club’s 125th anniversary.

A former French Under-21 international, Younes made his name at Auxerre, where made 52 appearances, scoring two goals, winning the Coupe de France in 2005.
